Happy B'day

First of all, let me thank you for helping me so willingly today even though its your b'day and you could have gone off elsewhere to celebrate b4 your Materials Science workshop.

Charmaine's nick in her msn is Charm. Not surprisingly, she has charming doll eyes, a smile that is brighter than n= 0 and she is very animated.

Apart from that, I see you as a hardworking gal who place pride in your work. I also receive good feedbacks from your other teachers. Keep up your standard!

Your committment in Odac is commendable but do give yourself time to rest too. Stay alive.

More Thanks!

Thank you 6i for sacrificing your time, energy and comfort. Your unconditional help has completely made my day.

Thx Ruth, Ashvini and Beixi for the help too! (though I dun think you will see this) I am extremely grateful.

p.s. Bowen and Hongwei are missing in the pix. Anyone else missing?

Thanks

Heya, I want to thank those of you who gave me something on V-day, these include chocolates and sweets which are already in my stomach.

Tim and Darrell, I almost thought you bought the flowers together with the arrangement! You both learn well in your elective. :P

Our Sakuragi Hanamichi

After your haircut, you remind me strongly of Hanamichi in Slam Dunk. You certainly look good and garang in your short hair. Keep it up... er I mean short. :P

I must say that I am absolutely impressed by you today! Not only did you do your tutorial, you look completely fresh and alert. I even noticed your smile as you present answer on the board! Hey I hope this fire stays in you! Well done!

Spot the difference

I have added ice-cream as requested and gotten rid of your centre parting. Ha but you are frowning in the photo! I can't change that. Perhaps after I've gone through everyone in class I will redraw this pic. :P

Our Little Green Fairy

This is a unique girl who likes physics experiments so much that she plays with apparatus after school. When she is not doing that, she will be either finding food to enjoy or taking photographs.

I decided to write about you after watching a glimpse of the Chingay. You really look like a little green fairy! Like Xiuwen, you amazed me with your dance when I went to watch Dance Night 2005. My gf who is also into dance commented that you all danced very well. Apart from your CCA committments, your results has always been above Belle's curve. Keep it up!

Stay sweet and cheerful alwayz!

Love is Friendship set on Fire

Our silent beauty

Though you are soft-spoken in nature, I feel that you stand out in the class.

I always regard you as an elegant lady with composed manners. Someone who never fails to greet me with a shy smile whenever you see me. You are someone that I seldom need to check your work cos it is always prepared. You also displayed patience towards to your peers (even if they step onto your toes... no wonder your toe is turning green).

If Hazel is the light bulb in the class, you are like the single slit that makes the light coherent and focused.

Stay cheerful!

Encourage one another

As the workload in school gets heavier and time seems to shrink more and more each day, I want to encourage all of you to take time to encourage one another. There are many ways we can encourage a person - give cards, emotional support, academic support, financial support, plan group studying and so on.

Afterall, ten years later you will not remember what grades your friends got for 'A' level (sometimes it is easy to remember cos its all As), but you will probably remember the sweet things your friends did for you in your most stressed-up moments.

Remember this -

PRESSURE = FORCE / AREA

where,
Pressure - Your studying stress
Force - The amount of tutorials to do, the topics to catch up, tests and exams to prepare
Area - The amount of support and encouragement from your friends

We all know that force will never change... it is always there! What you can change is Area! You can definitely help to increase your friends' Area so that his/her Pressure will be reduced!

Lets continue to spur one another on in this race!

God bless

Why is Santa Claus called Santa Claus?

We are more than a month past Christmas and about eleven months to the next one. So why am I talking about Santa Claus at this period of time? ---> Click here to know the answer

Here's the story...

About 2000 years ago, at the Calvary, there stood 3 crosses and a multitude of people.

One from the crowd asked, "I heard Jesus is on the cross."

'Which one?'

"The centre one."

'You mean the one at the centre cross?'

"Yes, the centre cross."

As the news spread from one person to another, one village to another, one country to another, one decade to another, the word 'centre cross' has evolved into 'Santa Claus'.

God gave His greatest gift, His son to die on the cross for our sins. No amount of gifts that Santa Claus give can ever match that.

True or False?

Aha I happen to find this news article while I was packing my room. You decide whether this is edited by photoshop.

Our Beloved CIP rep

Although I already know you at the beginning of 2005, it is during the Dance night performance that you completely stole my attention. I was totally mesmerised by your chinese dance!

Ever since, you have impressed me as someone who not only dance well but someone with puts in 100% in the areas that you are passionate in. Often, we take for granted that it is easy to lead a (dance) group or to organise/coordinate a tuition group with the pri/sec students. As someone who have walked through a similar path, I know it really takes alot extra effort, courage and time to do so. To me, you have already been a CIP rep since 2005. Well done!

Now here's the naggy part... you have heard me said many times, but I'm not tired of telling you again - 'Health is important too. Take time to rest when needed. Next, your studies. Manage your time well.'

God bless!

Please do not start doing until you have fully read the instructions.

1. Write your name, index number and clearly indicate whether you've done your Electric Field tutorial on the top right hand corner of the paper.

2. You are given 20 mins for this paper.

3. Fill in the names of the people in the photos according to their assigned numbers.

Guess Who?

Responsible and reliable (with less than 5% error),
intelligent,
elastic (can be stretched without breaking),
composed,
hardworking,
confident,
amiable....
the list can go on.

He is no other than 6i's class rep. He surprised me towards the end of last year when he came to me and propose a plan he has in mind that I never dare dream to do when I was of his age. Apart from his pioneering spirit, Francis has been described to me as a gentleman by the gals... It is indeed a pleasure to have Francis Sin in 6i. Thanks for your dedication as a class rep and your ever ready attention during my lessons.

My Work Table

Perhaps most of you don't know that when RJC is at her old campus, students are allowed to go into the staffroom. Till now, I bet none of you knows how the current staffroom and the teachers' tables look like...

Come let me secretly bring you to my table... ssh...

Miss Act Cute

The reason why I call you Miss Act Cute is that often you miss the point when you try to act cute... oops... I'm supposed to be encouraging...

Hazel, you are like the light bulb in the class. Just as light is randomly emitted from the bulb, you do not create an interference pattern with bright and dark fringes. Instead you light up the entire class with your positive and bubbly spirit. Thanks for your enthusiasm during my lessons as well as outside school. Continue to shine!

Something I treasure

Xiuwen, Annabelle and Su Yi, you remember this Forever Friends mug? I've not taken it out to use. It has always been on my table in the staffroom serving as a reminder that I've sweet students like you. Thx!

Ms Cool

The first person I like to mention is a girl with few words, carries a coffin handphone cover with her photo in it and listens to a mp3 player model that carries her name.

Though its been a tiring year 2005 telling you about your hair and your uniform, I've seen obvious change in your dressing. I'm actually pleasantly surprised when you told me that you've lengthened your skirt. Well done! But I still like to see your 'unblocked' eyes throughout the whole lesson one day.

You are certainly more awake and alert in my lessons. I noticed your frequent nods as signs of agreement when I taught physics concepts during lessons as well. That is a gift of attention to me. Thx and keep it up.

Btw, I still owe you a hairclip as promised last year.

There are 26 of you in class. Will take some time before I mention everyone.

Stay tuned for more...
